This policy explains what personal information Wallace Legal Services Professional Corporation, operating as GetNotarizedNow, collects, why, how it is protected, and the choices you have. Our services are provided by Latoya Wallace, a paralegal licensed by the Law Society of Ontario (licence P21429), Notary Public and Commissioner of Oaths.
The short version. We collect only what we need to book and complete your appointment. We never sell your information. We never share your phone number or your consent to receive text messages with anyone for their marketing.
What we collect
- When you book online: your name, email address, phone number, the document or documents you need help with, your appointment time and location, and anything you choose to add in the notes. Booking online does not guarantee an appointment: it is one of the things we consider before confirming.
- When you call, text or email us: your phone number or email address, and what you tell us, which is confidential.
- At your appointment: we check your original government-issued photo ID, as notarial and commissioning practice requires, and keep the records the rules for our profession require.
- On this website: the estimate you build is saved in your own browser so it is still there if you come back. It is not sent to us unless you choose to email it. Our website host keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the site secure and working.
Why we use it
To schedule, prepare for and carry out your appointment; to contact you about it; to answer your questions; and to meet our legal and professional record-keeping obligations. We do not use your information for anything else without asking you first.
Text messages
If you text us, or agree to receive texts, we use your mobile number only to communicate with you about your appointment and your questions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Your mobile number and your text-message consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
Please do not send documents through a form or email
Do not upload or email your documents unless we send you a formal email request. If we need to see something before your appointment, we will arrange a secure way for you to share it. How to send documents safely explains how that works and what we ask you not to send.
Who helps us run the service
We use a small number of trusted providers to operate our business. They process information only to provide their service to us:
- Cal.com, for online booking
- Google Calendar, for our appointment calendar
- Quo, for our business phone line and text messages
- Namecheap Private Email, for our email
- Netlify, for hosting this website
- Sync.com, for the secure document upload, on servers in Canada
- Google Analytics, for counting visits to this website, and only if you agree to it
Some of these providers store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country. Documents you send us through the secure upload are the exception: they are stored in Canada and are encrypted so that the storage provider cannot read them. We do not share your information with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
Cookies and counting visits
We would like to know which pages of this website people actually find useful, so that we can improve the ones that are not working. To do that we use Google Analytics. It counts visits and tells us things like which pages were opened, the general area a visit came from such as the town, and whether somebody arrived from a search or from a link. It does not tell us who you are, and we never send it your name, your email address, or anything from your documents.
Nothing is counted unless you say yes. The first time you come to this site a small bar appears at the bottom of the page and asks. If you say no, or if you simply ignore it, Google is never contacted at all and no cookie is placed on your device. If you say yes, Google sets a cookie so that a second visit from you is not counted as a new person.
We have turned off Google's advertising features for this website. What is collected here is not used to build an advertising profile of you and not used to show you ads anywhere else.
You can change your mind at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep appointment records for as long as our professional and legal obligations require, and we delete information we no longer need.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our using it (which may mean we cannot complete a service). Contact us at info@getnotarizednow.ca.

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and its effective date.
