Your documents
Sending documents, safely.
Most people email a document without thinking about it. For the kind of paperwork we handle — identification, affidavits, wills, property files — that is the one habit worth breaking.

Please do not email documents
An email attachment is copied onto every mail server it passes through and sits in two inboxes indefinitely. Nothing about it is private in the way people assume. That is true of every business, not just this one, and it is why we would rather you did not.
The same goes for text messages, and for uploading anything into a form on a website. There is no form on this site that takes a document, deliberately.
What we use instead
The button above opens a private upload page belonging to this practice. Drop your file in and it goes straight into our storage. You will not see anyone else's documents and nobody else will see yours, because an upload link only lets you put something in.
- It goes to storage in Canada. Your documents do not leave the country.
- It is encrypted so that even the storage company cannot read it. Not just locked away from strangers — unreadable to the people running the service.
- It goes directly to us. It does not pass through the people who built this website, and no copy is made anywhere else.
What to send, and what to keep
- Send the complete document, including any exhibits or schedules.
- Do not sign it first. The signature has to happen in front of the notary or commissioner.
- Keep your original. We work from it at the appointment, and a certified copy can only be made from an original.
- Bring your original government photo identification to the appointment. Please do not send a photograph of your ID unless we have asked you for one.
If you would rather not send anything in advance
That is completely fine and it changes nothing. Bring the document to the appointment. Sending it ahead only lets us check it is the right form and tell you the price before you arrive.
One thing worth knowing
We will never email you asking for a document, a payment, or your banking details. If you receive something that looks like it came from us and asks for any of those, do not reply to it. Call 289 277 2257 and check. Our privacy policy explains what we keep and for how long.
