Online Commissioning

What it is

We commission affidavits and statutory declarations over a secure video call, where the document and your situation allow it. You and the commissioner see and hear each other in real time, and you show your identification on camera. This is commissioning only, and it is not notarization. Anything that needs a notarial seal, a certified true copy, or authentication for use outside Ontario has to be done in person. Not every document qualifies, so we confirm yours before you book.

Who needs it

People who need an affidavit or a statutory declaration sworn for use in Ontario and cannot get to an appointment in person.

What to bring

• Valid photo ID, ready to show on camera
• Your complete document, unsigned
• A quiet place where you can be clearly seen and heard
