If Oshawa could not help you

The City of Oshawa does commission some documents. Its website says: Service Oshawa offers Commissioner of Oaths services for documents such as affidavits and statutory declarations.

But its published list of what it cannot commission includes:

  • Divorce papers or separation agreements
  • Power of attorney documents
  • Real estate documents, including transfer of land
  • Wills

And on notarizing, it says: A Commissioner of Oaths is not the same as a Notary Public.

Its published commissioning fee when we checked: $25 (with tax $28.25) for the first three documents, $5 (with tax $5.65) for each additional document.

Quoted from the City of Oshawa website, www.oshawa.ca, accessed 12 September 2026. Municipalities change their rules: check theirs before you rely on it.

We can do all of it. Wills, powers of attorney, real estate documents, court documents and anything needing a notarial seal, in person or at your door.
