If Ajax could not help you

The Town of Ajax does commission some documents. Its website says: The Corporate Services department in Ajax Town Hall offers Commissioner of Oaths services. Commissioner services include most affidavits, oaths and statutory declarations.

But its published list of what it cannot commission includes:

• Wills, "Living" Wills, Codicils to Wills
• Powers of Attorney
• Divorce, Separation, Marriage, or Cohabitation documents
• Custody documents
• Real Estate-related documents
• Court, Legal and/or Civil Issue-related documents
• Certified True Copies
• Documents requiring signature of a Notary Public

And on notarizing, it says: The Town does not have a Notary Public and cannot notarize documents.

Its published commissioning fee when we checked: Residents: $27.50 (incl. tax) for up to 5 signatures. Non-residents: $33.00 (incl. tax) for up to 5 signatures.
